Where can you find such colleagues to talk with them, to learn from them, to communicate with them? Sure, in Dublin.
The students of the 3rd year specializing in Mechatronics went to Dublin to learn English, to learn about technology, to explore Dublin, to understand: „I‘m Irish – what‘s your superpower?“
We met Mr. Callaghan from Callaghan Engineering and his colleagues and learned what it means to lead the project for a new data center or a new production line for pharmaceutical products.
We met Prof. Brian Corcoren (Head of School for Mechanical Engineering) from Dublin City University and his colleagues and learned how students of mechanical engineering at DCU learn by doing, by competing, by scientific experimentation.
We met Mr. Duggan from ARUP Ltd and his colleagues and learned of the manifold difficulties to lead the project for a new maternity hospital and why the Berlin airport might have failed so far.
We explored Dublin visiting the Trinity-University library, visiting pubs, listening to talking statues, enjoying Irish folk music, exploring the town by bike on foot and much more.
We met Mrs. McGurdy from EiraTech robotics and her colleagues and learned about autonomous robots and the difference between „person to pick“ and „pick to person“.
We had four days full of English, full of technology, full of sightseeing, full of new experience.
Thanks everybody who has helped us! The craic was ninety!!!
